Controlled Release Society Annual Meeting (PROG, CE, CTLT, see desc. for complete list)

This meeting is a long one, going all the way through the 14th.  Sponsers of the event are almost all larger companies, and include: ASH, CE, EVKIF, AZN, COIHF, and CTLT.  We have submitted a request for the companies who have presentations and will update this description when we receive the information.

This event is a long event, and will be attended by many different people.  It is in-person, which is consequential to Event Traders, since a company would have the ability to generate extra hype by having a more encapsulating presentation.  Runup Traders will be looking at the 4hr and 1hr technical indicators in the weeks leading up to the event, to try to find a point where the price finds support–BEFORE the companies start releasing PR about this event.  The larger companies are not likely to lead to anything significant during the runup or presentation period, however if they are presenting information that is not yet public, there could be an outsized reaction in the price.  Traders will want to do further research about each company, to try to find out what kind of information will be presented, and whether it is likely to increase interest among investors and traders.
