SEEL, LRMR, RETA, DSGN – International Congress for Ataxia Research

This event has a very specific audience. If you have read previous blurbs about the Catalyst Calendar Events, we try to focus in on events where the audience is likely very wide, and people being presented to have come for other reasons but are there listening anyways.

However, in this case, the event is oriented to one market: Those interested in or afflicted with Ataxias. However, while there may not be many companies presenting (we looked through the entire program, which you can link to below), there are a lot of educational breakout sessions, and reasons beyond looking for business opportunities. As such, this particular event seems to land more on the side of the “Event” traders. The runup period probably wont get a lot of PR, but the event presentations will be significant and could shed light on important things the companies are doing that might not be on the radar of a lot of investors. There are also a few companies presenting with a history of big pumps after PR and news events (followed by the profit takers dumping of course, don’t get caught off guard). SEEL stands out as one.
