This is a unique event, where there are upwards of 100 presentations, and most are from Academics.  However, there are many presentations from publicly traded companies randomly placed within the Agenda, which you can link to below.

When a few lower float, smaller market cap companies are presenting at an event with a large number of attendees, it gives quite a few areas to consider for a trade.  The Runup Traders might look for technical reversal signals in the weeks leading up to the event, and capitalize on any rumors or PR about the upcoming presentation.  Event Traders would monitor the companies presenting and look for sudden surges in volume, which could be read as a sign that investors liked the presentation and are pulling out their phone and placing trades while they are still at the event.

After-Glow traders might sit this one out, however if a presentation really did go well, or shed light on an area that hasn’t gotten the press coverage, it might lead to some slow grinding upwards after the presentation.  These traders will want to be aware of the companies cash needs and burn rate, as they wont want to hold for an offering if one is announced.
